Job Summary
The IT Systems Specialist/Engineer is responsible for managing, monitoring, and supporting enterprise IT systems and cloud environments across Azure and GCP. The role focuses on ensuring system availability, performance, security, backup and recovery, incident resolution, and infrastructure optimization while providing 24/7 operational support and maintaining compliance with SLA requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Respond promptly to incidents and troubleshoot issues.
• Follow systems ROTA and SLA requirements.
• Participate in on-call rotations.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Administer/manage cloud services (Azure, GCP).
• Monitor and optimize IT systems performance.
• Manage cloud storage solutions.
• Maintain backup and recovery strategies.
• Follow security best practices.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Maintain detailed documentation.
• Generate system performance/security reports.
• Conduct capacity planning and scalability assessments.
• Participate in disaster recovery drills.
Required Skills and Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
• Certification in Microsoft Azure and Google preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of professional IT Systems experience.
• Proven experience with Azure and GCP.
• Strong knowledge of cloud services, virtualization, and storage.
• Familiarity with cloud security best practices.
• Certifications such as Azure Administrator or Google Cloud Architect are a plus.
