Job Summary
Qatar Computer Services (QCS) is looking for an experienced Storage & Data Protection Solutions Engineer to design, implement, migrate, troubleshoot, and support enterprise storage and backup solutions. The role involves working with multi-vendor storage platforms, backup technologies, virtualization, and datacenter infrastructure while supporting both project delivery and presales activities.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, implement, and support enterprise storage, backup, replication, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Configure and troubleshoot SAN, NAS, block, file, and object storage environments.
• Provide Level 2/3 technical support, root cause analysis, and vendor coordination.
• Support virtualization, server infrastructure, and hybrid datacenter environments.
• Prepare technical documentation and solution handovers.
• Assist presales teams with technical solution design and customer engagements.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in enterprise storage and data protection technologies.
• Strong expertise in SAN, NAS, FC, iSCSI, NFS, SMB, storage replication, snapshots, RAID, capacity planning, and performance optimization.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise backup solutions such as Veritas NetBackup, Commvault, Cohesity, Veeam, or similar.
• Knowledge of virtualization, HCI, Windows Server, and cloud platforms is an advantage.
• Professional certifications in enterprise storage, backup, virtualization, or cloud technologies are preferred.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and customer-facing skills.
